My response to Tom’s bad experience of the Lightning Process
September 28, 2007 by The Rowan Centre Blog
Tom
Sorry to hear you were unsuccessful with the Lightning Process, I really feel for you. Why not contact some of the other 5,000 + people who have got well using the LP and find out how they did it, you may find them quite inspiring and some may tell you how they used it to get well. If you were willing, you could even go back to your trainer for further coaching.
Kate had ME for years and cleared all her symptoms very quickly using the LP. The success rate for ME/CFS sufferers is over 85% which is much higher than anything else available. In fact it would be more believable it were 30% or less! I have used it to clear my fatigue, hayfever and asthma – all automatic responses we regenerate unconsciously.
The Osteopathic principal of body posture is utilised in the practical part of the training. Our immune system’s natural state ‘buoyancy’ is an Osteopathic principal too.
The hypnotherapy work creates new memories for the unconscious mind to install which are then accessed automatically when needed, sending useful messages via the neural pathways to the rest of the body.
The Lightning Process is not just about positive thinking, that alone is unlikely to get you well from ME or CFS. It is a training program (not a therapy or treatment) which teaches us how to break the automatic response that we get stuck in that helps to create the dreadful symptoms. As we break the old response we create new neural pathways that then lead to recovery. Some people get well quickly, most take a few weeks and some a few months. If you don’t consistently apply what you have learnt in the training, naturally you will get very little benefit. So, if you dont really stick to it and do it all the time because you don’t really believe it’s going to work, then you are just not going to get the same good results that people get who do it persistently until they get well. In other words, questioning it and picking it apart is not the same as applying the technique.
As for people getting positive benefits in just a few hours, an extreme example is that of severely affected sufferers who are wheelchair bound who walk out at the end of the first days training, abandoning their chairs! There is evidence of real people who had real neurological ME achieving this on the LP website.
The Lightning Process is not a miracle cure - applying it is bloody hard work and takes a lot of committment. It has worked for thousands of others and it can work for you too, but only if you decide to use it. I urge you to go back to your trainer or find someone else to coach you. You can get well Tom …go on, make it happen.
